Following a thread in a Folksy Forum, I had an idea for a pendant for all those Twilight fans. I duly made this:
It's about 1 inch from top to bottom, made out of silver clay which I've textured and oxidised to resemble the appearence of the moon, then carved 'twilight' into it in the style of the book cover. My daughter wants to give it to her Twilight-obsessed friend for her birthday. I wondered about making another to list on Folksy, but I'm not sure if it's a bit too comercial for me, so I can't decide. What do you think?
I also made this ammonite style pendant out of silver clay which I may well list:
All feedback is gratefully received

I don't know what the right answer is! I love the moon shape and texture but you've done the lettering so well it almost looks machine-made and as if it might be part of the official merchandise - does that make sense? But then again is there anything wrong with that - if someone out there will enjoy wearing it and it will be special to them (and there will certainly be someone like that out there) then it's definitely worth crafting it. (no help at all am I). I'd list both, the Twilight one will sit with your other work well and will show variety while people will still clearly see your style through the other pieces. See what other people think though, I don't know what I'm talking about really!
I don't normally notice the word verification word but this time it's 'sulkies' which did make me smile,! xx
I think it's lovely. I wouldn't wear it but I'm sure a lot of teenagers would. We all buy presents for others so why not offer it for sale, it would be an unique present for someone.
Thanks for your comments and welcome hannelore, hope you drop by again
Twilight is really popular Tammy and it is always worth trying it out on Folksy. You have done the script really well.
Enjoyed the craft fair pictures. I did a few years ago but only really made enough to cover the fees which was quite depressing really. I was selling mostly hand painted greetings cards for less than you would buy an ordinary card in a shop. People are strange. I am not surprised the seahorses went so well. They are lovely.
